The collaborators in this course examine the potential and limits of translating entrepreneurial-innovation concepts from the for-profit technology sector to the non-profit and public-service sectors.
In particular, students will gain both knowledge and practical skill as engaged scholars, as they connect learning and values from the academic world with issues and problems in the broader society.

About Us
The Engaged University course will provide learning experiences that allows students, scholars, and community collaborators to understand and apply the concept of creative disruption identified in Silicon Valley.
Students will have hands-on experience leading and participating in local regional and national public sector initiatives. In team settings, students will gain experience with the production, editing, and curation of traditional and digital content on social media platforms.
Students will also develop and practice narration skills for broader community engagement (i.e., public speaking; communication with images and video; communicating with audiences and cultures in languages other than spoken American English).
